The literary Foundation / Foundation "Father Grgo Martić" was established in September 2006 in Kreševo, and its founder was "Stanić Group", and its owner, Mr. Svjetlan Stanić.
The purpose of establishing the Foundation "Father Grgo Martić" is to encourage literary creativity, and to improve the financial position of literary creators. In this sense, the Foundation, among others, awards literary prizes "Father Grgo Martić" in six categories: the best collection of poetry, the best book of prose (novel, short stories / novels, travel books), the best collection of poetry (debut) of authors who have not yet published a book, the best collection of prose (debut) of authors who have not yet published a book, the best short literary work (of any genre) or literary study inspired by the person and work of Father Grgo or Bosnia Srebrena, and the best book for children.
These prizes are awarded every two years, for up to that time unpublished works (manuscripts). The amounts provided for awards substantially exceed the amounts of other literary awards in Bosnia and Herzegovina. All citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina have the right to compete for the literary prize "Father Grgo Martić". The best works are chosen by a jury which consists of three respectable BH writers: Stevan Tontić, Amir Brka and Dragan Marjanović.
In addition to the literary contest, the Foundation is engaged in providing scholarships for students of literature and also in publishing, organizing literary and translation colonies, as well as in all other activities that may contribute to the development of literary creation.
We are proud of the fact that we are part of the positive developments on the cultural scene of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
